Michael is the Founder and President of Empowered Performance, LLC a worldwide management education and consulting firm. With extensive international experience working with companies of varied sizes and in diverse industries, he has implemented strategies to attain World-Class levels of performance.
Michael has developed expertise in “Enterprise Excellence”, Enterprise Resource Planning and Supply Chain Management (ERP/SCM), Lean (Toyota Production System), Team Building and Problem Solving, Six Sigma and Reengineering Business Processes. He is considered an expert in helping companies develop and implement Strategic Business Units and fast response customer service production units.
Referred to by his friends and many of his clients as “The Professional Provoker”, Michael has over 38 years of experience in manufacturing and business management. Prior to forming Empowered Performance, LLC he was the Senior Vice President of Buker Inc., a worldwide management education and consulting firm. He has also been responsible for the development and conduct of customer education classes for a major division of the Xerox Corporation. He has authored over 75 articles on business improvement and has been a contributing author for the APICS Production and Inventory Handbook. He currently has two books published, Manufacturing Dictionary and Observations, Rants, and Not So Deep Thoughts, both available online at www.empoweredperformance.com. His new book Enterprise Excellence: A Business Model for the New Millennium - is scheduled to be published during the fall of 2013.
He is a dynamic, exciting and thought-provoking speaker on a variety of business improvement topics for national as well as international professional associations. Michael is a member of the National Speakers Association (NSA), the Institute of Management Consultants (IMC), the Association of Manufacturing Excellence (AME), the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME), the American Society for Quality (ASQ) and The American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS). He is a frequent speaker at National as well as International Conferences and Seminars for these organizations as well as for The Executive Committee (TEC) and Executive Forums. He is a certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt, an Eagle Scout and a graduate of the University of Illinois with a degree in Engineering.
